Feb 3rd “What I Have Learned -- So Far.”
Troy Nash, Former City Councilman
From humble beginnings, Troy Nash worked and willed his way through enlistment
in the Air Force, to a B.A degree from Wellesley, and M.A. and Law degrees from
UMKC. He was Student Curator for the University of Missouri and was on the Kansas
City, Missouri City Council from 1999-2007, serving the maximum under term limits.
Drawing upon his experiences, Mr. Nash will discuss some concrete, specific changes
in political institutions that can and should be made.

Woody's widow Diane, and Elizabeth Gerber, Wiley Morrison, and Don Bell
share a history of the work Woody did in the Kansas City area to promote
and encourage the practice of free thought.
Feb 24th “Raising a secular child”
Be-Asia McKerracher, English high school teacher in Kansas City, MO.
Children are individuals with all the rights there-in including the right to
choose their religious affiliation, if any. How do you raise a religiously
literate, free-thinking child? Be-Asia will share her experiences on secular
parenting and the benefits of raising a secular child.
