Richard Peters, pharmacokinetics instructor, UMKC
One parameter describes the universe. One interaction explains the four forces.
This talk describes subatomic particles, and an original concept of
the substructures of quarks.
July 8th "Right to Left without Moving: A Political Migration"
Bill Schultz, Community of Reason member, Kansas City & Gainesville, FL
Bill will describe his Search for Truth, Justice and the American Way,
while surviving the national migration toward right-wing fundamentalism.
July 15th "Attacking Judges"
Missouri State Sen. Jolie Justus (D-10th), Kansas City
The independent judiciary is under attack nationwide. Sen. Justus will
describe the coming war over the independence of Missouri's judiciary.
July 22th "My Problems with Biblical Christianity and How I Solved Them (After a Really Long Time)"
Chris Riels, classical scholar and electronic editor
At an early age, Chris was taught the Christian idea of Hell,
and was terrified that he had no means of avoiding it.
He will provide a rigorous and unflinching view of Christianity,
and the means by which he concluded that the doctrine and its horrors
were false. He has a background in classical studies, and has
taught Latin in middle school and college.
July 29th "The November Coalition"

Joe Gonzales II, father of an imprisoned drug offender
Travis Anderson, friend and business partner of the imprisoned
Nora Callahan began a campaign to reform unjust drug laws after her brother,
Gary, was sentenced to 27 years in prison for "drug conspiracy", wherein
a person can be convicted solely on the testimony of a dubious informant.
Joe Gonzales' son is currently serving a 15-year sentence for drug conspiracy.
The November Coalition attempts to educate the public about destructive,
unnecessary sentences due to the War on Drugs.
